Treston Lambert is currently the Program Director of the IHDF-NY Chelsea-Elliott II program. He has been a part of the IHDF-NY team since May 2007. Previously, he was the Assistant Director at the Harlem Children’s Zone Inc, TRUCE program. During his 13 years at the Harlem Children’s Zone Inc. Treston progressed from an intern to a program supervisor before his position with the TRUCE (The Renaissance University for Community Education) program. Treston has an extensive knowledge of community-based organizations and the New York City school system. He has received national training from the Children’s Defense Fund and the Corporation for National Services, and has served as a certified mediator for Victim Services of New York.

Terrence Stokes Jr. is a Dreamer alumnus from the IHDF-NY Chelsea-Elliott I program. Terrence started working with the Chelsea-Elliott II program in November of 2007 as Volunteer Coordinator.  Currently, as the Program Assistant, he overseas programming and volunteer events, and coordinates the mentoring program. He also supervises, recruits, trains, and screens all Chelsea-Elliott II volunteers.

Terrence currently holds an Associate in Science Degree in Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing, both from Johnson & Wales University.

Leslie Gately holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Middlebury College. Prior to graduate school, Leslie spent several years providing direct service, program management, and fundraising support to several human service organizations.

During the 2009-2010 school year, Leslie interned at the “I Have A Dream” NY DeHostos-Wise program while earning her Masters in Social Work degree from Columbia University in 2010. In her time at DeHostos-Wise,  Leslie worked with the Dreamers in the program to provide individual counseling that focused on creating short- and long-term goals, increasing their coping, social skills, social supports, and academic functioning. In addition, she conducted psychosocial assessments with the Dreamer families; facilitated psycho-educational groups with a focus on peer pressure, sex education, self-esteem, and bullying; created psycho-educational curriculum for group sessions on healthy romantic relationships; provided case-management and crisis intervention for multi-stressed families; and maintained contact with schools, families, and outside agencies.

In October 2010, Leslie returned to the DeHostos-Wise program to assist the Dreamers, families and staff during a very difficult time for program. She accepted a position as the Assistant Program Director in December 2010, and was promoted to Program Director in July 2015. 
 

Angela Wyche

Angela Wyche is a certified elementary and middle level teacher and returned Peace Corps Volunteer. Since 2012 served as the Academic Coordinator for "I Have A Dream" New York’s newest site in East Harlem, and in December 2015 she accepted the role of Program Director.

Prior to joining "I Have A Dream" in 2012 Angela taught elementary students with a high-performing charter network in Brooklyn. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor’s degree in French Language, Angela studied Education at the University of Vermont and obtained a Master’s Degree in Education. She recently completed her second Master's degree in International Education Development from Columbia Teacher’s College.

In addition to managing all aspects of the IHDF-NY program at East Harlem, Angela continues to coordinate the planning and implementation of academic support for Dreamers during the after-school program; communicates with school staff about the needs of Dreamers; and supports the healthy academic, physical and social emotional development of the East Harlem Dreamers.


Larry Johnson

Larry Johnson is the Program Director for the Plainfield “I Have A Dream” program in New Jersey. He joined "I Have A Dream" - New York in 2002 after working with the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City, N.J. and Girls, Inc. in Newark, D.E. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Delaware in 1997, and then earned a Masters in Non-Profit Management from Farleigh Dickinson University in 2007.

Larry continues to provide guidance and support to the Plainfield Dreamers as they work towards their undergraduate degrees.

 

Karlisle Honore

Karlisle Honore is a native New Yorker who has worked with youth and non-profit organizations such as Literacy Volunteers of America, Inc., New York Cares, Inc. and Groundwork, Inc. She is interested in service, youth development, and education outside of the traditional school setting. Karlisle joined "I Have A Dream" - NY in 2005 as the Program Director of the IHDF-NY Ravenswood II program. 

Karlisle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and a Masters of Science degree in Urban Studies from C.U.N.Y. Hunter College in New York City. 
 

Matthew Wright

Matthew Wright, a native of Boston, M.A., graduated from the School of Social Work at New York University in May 2005 with degrees in Social Work and Politics. He has experience working with youth of all ages, the elderly and homeless individuals. His work with children includes eight years at Summer Arts at Derby teaching classes based on visual arts, performing arts, and athletics, as well as three years in the New York City school system as an Assistant Teacher through the America Reads program.

Matt joined "I Have A Dream" - NY in 2005 as the Assistant Program Director at the outset of the IHDF-NY: Ravenswood II program.  Having known the Ravenswood Dreamers since they were eight years old and in the third grade, Matt continues to work with the Ravenswood Dreamers as young adults pursuing their college and career ambitions.  Matt has served as the Interim Executive Director of the "I Have A Dream" Foundation - New York since February 2017.
